Mary J. Blige announces North American tour

Nine-time Grammy Award-winning R&B legend, Mary J. Blige, has announced her highly anticipated North American Strength of a Woman tour, featuring special guest Lalah Hathaway. The tour kicks off on Sunday, July 30 at the Chicago Theater, with stops in major cities throughout the U.S. Mary J. Blige is also a Golden Globe Award-nominee and a multi-platinum artist.

The tour is in support of her thirteenth album release, Strength Of A Woman, debuting at No. 1 on Billboard’s R&B Album Chart, and has received critical praise since its April 28 release on Capitol Records. The album features production by DJ Camper, Bam, Hit-Boy, and KAYTRANADA, and collaborations with Quavo (of Migos), DJ Khaled, Missy Elliot and Kanye West, lending his vocals on the album’s latest single release, "Love Yourself."

Tickets for the tour will be on sale to the general public on Friday, May 19 at 10 a.m. local time. Fan club, VIP and Pandora Premium pre-sale go on sale May 17 at 10 a.m. local time. The official pre-sale credit for the tour, Citi® cardmembers will have access to purchase pre-sale tickets beginning Wednesday, May 17 at 12 p.m. local time through Citi’s Private Pass® program. Additionally, a special Pandora and Facebook pre-sale will be available May 18 at 10 a.m. local time.
